A few months ago I was introduced to a new entrant into the location-based market called PlacePop. They contacted me and asked for my input because I am active in the smart phone and location-based markets. I made my first demo review of this application here.
There have been many new improvements to this application recently, including a much simpler user interface, ability to search for people to follow, affinity programs, and integration with other languages.
Check out my second demo below and let me know what you think!
Last week I was featured as a guest blogger for Convertiv, the company I work with on freelance social media and Internet marketing strategies. I wrote a blog post titled “What is Next for Location-Based Apps” where I discussed the multi-layered environment of smart phone applications that have geo-location and geo-social capabilities. Two days after the post, a woman from a new geo-social application company called PlacePop contacted me directly and said:
“I noticed that you have been covering location-based applications recently on the Convertiv blog, and since you are following the developments in this space, I wanted to reach out to you and introduce a new app called PlacePop.”
Of course, I said yes and was excited to give PlacePop a trial run. I decided to turn my review into a video blog post for all to see. It is truly an excellent application that has features that are superior to many existing location-based applications.
Watch the below review and demo to see my evaluations.
Check it out yourself and let me know your thoughts!
