Great comment! I think they were on the right path last year and deserved their due credit, but this year they made some risky moves, got sued for Buzz privacy issues, and may be going down the wrong path now if they keep putting out untested products. This may either be a new way of them testing products, or a new approach of their business process.

Personally I think that Google Buzz's submission was a little too early, especially in regards to privacy. I also think that Google's possibly going down the same path that Windows went through around the era of Windows 2K. The latest products and products seem to be less and less planned and I also feel like rushed the first in the industry, and or compete with its competitors releases. The breach of privacy was something that didn't require a PHD in CS to figure out, a very simple review session could have shown these issues. Do you think Google may have received too much credit last year?

Hey man I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to write something worth my time to read. I am all over the net and I see so much pointless content that is just created for the sake of putting something new on their site . It takes devotion to create good stuff, thanks for caring.

This is true, Google did admit that they had to fix up Buzz, especially after complaints of security issues. They are an example of a company that isn't afraid to apologize, something most companies are afraid of doing. It is better to apologize and fix than ignore or delay repairs. However, this still does not change my view of Buzz, simply because I have no need for it.

Tyron,
A community must be built for a specific niche industry. If your blog can be very concise to that market, and provide extraordinary content to them, they will quickly become engaged. You must also ensure to interact with them on your blog to make them feel valued and keep them coming back. Make sure your blog has an RSS feed option so those readers can receive your updates on a regular basis. I hope this helps!

The thing everyone should know about Google is that they don't mind admitting to mistakes. Miles ahead of most companies that would rather deny or delay fixing problems than making changes and moving on.

It goes towards consuming all types of media and technology because we are so connected to our media (i.e. smart phones, computers, iPods, and the Internet)
